Intervention areas in Kenya and in the world
L’Albero della Vita (FADV) works towards improving the family and social system in which a child exists and towards creating a safe environment for his/her effective growth. Internationally, FADV’s operational area currently includes Italy, Kenya, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Peru, and Haiti.
In Kenya, FADV has been working in Nairobi and Samburu area since 2010. We, at FADV envision a world without poverty where children can enjoy their rights, are empowered, grow without abuse and violence and are free to express their hearts. In Kenya, FADV has been working in the five thematic areas of Child Protection, Livelihoods and Urban Development, Humanitarian, Disaster Risk Reduction & Resilience and Health since the start of its journey.
We work worldwide with programmes that provide thousands of children in need access to education, health and protection.
Support a child today to make a better adult tomorrow
Way back in the Christmas of 1996, a group of like-minded men and women united by the fireside in Assi and gave birth to Fondazione L’Albero della Vita (FADV). They had a strong desire to find a purpose to live more meaningful lives. They strongly desired to make differences in lives of children and youth living in difficult conditions. In April 1997, FADV was established as an international NGO headquartered in Milan – Italy.
Since its establishment, FADV has been working to ensure well-being of children and for their rights. The organization has taken effective actions to create conditions for a dignified life by providing food, care and medical treatment to children and a safe enabling environment for their growth.
